So I thought I would make a collection of things I do that can be helpful for others as well :)
- Moisturize daily. In the morning, and before bed especially. After washing your face, always moisturize as well - especially if you’ve just exfoliated your face. Also, moisturize your body once a day as well, the best time is after you shower!
- Apply perfume on your pressure points. These places consist of your inner wrists, your neck, the back of your knees, and the crook in your inner arm. This keeps the scent lasting all day
- Always remove your makeup before bed. I think this one speaks for itself! keeping your makeup on over night can clog your pores, and damage your skin, especially eye makeup
- Deep condition your hair. This tip is especially useful if you have naturally dry, or coarse hair. Every other time you shower, use a deep conditioner and keep it in for three minutes before washing it out with cold water - the longer you keep it in, the better!
- Drink lots of water. It keeps you, your skin and your hair looking and feeling healthy and hydrated
- A cheap alternative to a highlighter. Instead of spending extra money on buying a specific highlighter for my face, I use a shimmery dull white eye shadow. With your finger tips, apply a light layer along the top of your cheek bones, down your nose, and along your cupids bow
- Wear a facial sunscreen. Even if you aren’t outside in the sun for a long time, or the sky is cloudy, your face can still potentially be damaged from harmful UV rays. It’s very important to apply a light sunscreen (at best mixed with a moisturizer) to your face to avoid premature aging, sunspots and wrinkles
…well, that’s all I can think of for now. I hope you learned something new or interesing!
